Emma Donnersberg is a French interior designer, furniture designer and gallerist based between Paris and New York. Named one of Galerie Magazine’s Creative Minds in 2024, she has developed an international practice spanning bespoke interiors, collectible furniture and sculptural lighting.

Her work has been presented at leading international design events, including Design Miami in Miami, Design Miami Paris, PAD London and PAD Paris, as well as in Milan during Salone del Mobile. These presentations reflect a practice that brings together artistic expression, exceptional craftsmanship and a distinctive approach to contemporary design.

Educated at Tulane University and Parsons School of Design, Donnersberg founded E. Donnersberg Interiors in New York in 2008. Working with an international clientele, she creates residential and commercial spaces defined by sculptural forms, rich material palettes and a carefully considered dialogue between art, furniture and architecture.

Her furniture collections extend this vision into individual objects. Drawing on nature’s extraordinary repertoire of shapes and textures, she transforms organic references into expressive, functional sculptures. From her signature mushroom tables to fluid seating and architectural lighting, her pieces reveal a vocabulary that is both playful and refined. Bronze, ceramic, stone and wood are shaped in close collaboration with specialist artisans, with particular attention to proportion, texture and finish.

Her Paris gallery, located on rue de Verneuil in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, brings her creative worlds together. Presenting her furniture and lighting alongside a curated selection of contemporary art, the space embodies her vision of interiors as a complete artistic composition.

Across every scale, from a single object to an entire interior, Donnersberg creates work with a strong identity and an enduring sense of presence.

« I conceive furniture as a living being, standing at the intersection of art and architecture.
Each piece emerges from a poetic gesture, inspired by nature and emotion.
Bronze, marble, ceramic and wood become sensitive languages , breathing materials.
My creations invite us to live within beauty, to feel matter as a presence.
Between poetry and structure, I seek to reveal the soul of the spaces I imagine. »
